COVID-19 precautions

We encourage students to cover their mouth and nose with a mask when around people who don’t live with them. Masks work best when everyone wears one. They are also required to attend.

We clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily.

We encourage our students and leaders to stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms.

Temperature and attendance will be taken for contact tracing for every event that's in the church.

What we've been learning

The Enemy Likes to Fish

January- February

In January, we began discussing how the enemy may use different "bait" tactics to keep us from being focused on the living truth! Each week, we'll be updating this section notes as a reference to our current discussions. If you have any questions, please let me know! See you all soon!

  • Your Identity- Magnifying all your insecurities, leading you to doubt what God says about you and to disregard the tools and blessings He's given you. (Ephesians 1:17-19)( Jan 3rd - 10th)

  • Your Confidence- Constantly reminding you of your past mistakes and sins, hoping to convince you that you're under God's judgement rather than under the blood. (Revelations 12:10) ( Jan 3rd - 10th)

  • Your Focus- disguising himself and manipulating your perspective so that you end up focusing on the wrong culprit, directing your weapons at the wrong enemy. (2 Cor. 11:14) (Jan 11th - 17th)

  • Your Passion- seeking to dim your whole desire for prayer, dull your interest in spiritual things, and downplay the potency of your most strategic weapons. (Eph 6:10-20) (Jan 11th - 17th)

  • Against Your Heart - Using every opportunity to keep old wounds fresh in mind, knowing that anger, hurt, bitterness, and unforgiveness will continue to roll the damage forward. (Hebrews 12:15) (1/18-1/31)

  • Against Your Calling- The enemy will amplify fear, worry, and anxiety until they're the loudest voices in your head, causing  you to deem the adventure of following God too risky to attempts (Joshua 14:8) (1/18-1/31)

  • Against Your Family- Satan wants to destroy your family and will do all he can to divide your home, rendering it chaotic, restless, and unfruitful. (Gen. 3:1-7)

  • Against Your Purity- He tries to tempt you toward certain sins, convincing you that you can tolerate them without risking consequence, knowing they'll only wedge distance between you and God (Isa. 59:1-2)

  • Against Your Rest & Contentment- He hopes to overload your life and schedule, pressuring you to constantly push beyond your limits, never feeling permission to say no. (Deut. 5:15)

  • Against Your Relationships- He creates disruption and disunity within your circle of friends and within the shared community of the body of Christ, the church. (1 Tim. 2:8)

March

This month we've been talking through, "The Armor of God."  Each week we discuss what each piece of armor represents, and how we can begin to apply these to our lives.

  • The Belt of Truth

  • The Breastplate of Righteousness

  • The Gospel of Peace

  • The Shield of Faith

  • Helmet of Salvation

  • Sword of the Spirit

To bring back bible awareness, our challenge this month was to "bring your bible!" Over the course of time, we realized our students have been listening to us read or checking out scripture on their phone! That's now changed! In addition to worship being a vital part of our programming, opening a physical bible will be too!
